There are still a few things (my TV, a monitor, cisco gear which is HEAVY, etc) left a the old place but the majority is moved.

Does anyone need a half sized portable dishwasher?   I bought it from Misty when I was living in my last apartment and just don’t have space for it anymore.   If no one wants it it’ll go up on craig’s list.

Today started moving weekend for us.  We got all the big things and most of the valuables out of the old place with the thanks of shadow_stallion and his hubby.   

After we said our goodbyes and a quick shower, Max decided he wanted mongolian bbq.  A quick hunt on google revealed that there was a new location for ghengis grill on Lemmon in the gayborhood!   We headed that way and discovered that tonight was their dry run and they open officially tomorrow so tonight the meal was on the house!   Very nice. 🙂

We then decided to go see Dark Knight.   I enjoyed the movie and discovered they’re making a movie of the Watchmen and a remake of The day the earth stood Still with Keanu Reeves (Hey everyone look!  It’s alien Ted!).  

During the movie there was a very annoying (to me anyway) guy talking to his girlfriend behind us.   I decided I was tired of it and rather than doing my usual act of confronting them in the middle of the film or having them kicked out I waited until the movie was over and he was on his way out and told him that I was glad he felt his $10 was worth more than mine.  Then we had a very curt but courteous discussion regarding what happened before he went on.  This seemed to embarras Max but I felt slightly vindicated since I don’t feel like people who talk in movies are ever approached about it and that’s why they think they can get away with it.    Does it make me an ass?  Yeah a bit.   But I think in the end the guy will think before he starts jabbering away in a movie next time thus allowing for a better watching experience.  Besides, the entire point of the movie was about appearing to be the bad guy in order to give the world what it needs.  So maybe I felt wrongly inspired.  *shrugs*  either way now apparently I’m supposed to be worried about getting knifed or beat up next time.   Max worries too much about such trivialities.

In other news,  I has a sore foot!  I don’t know why it’s news or why I need to mention it but I feel like I do. :p

I think most of you know I’m agnostic (not to be confused with Athiest).  I do think there is a higher power out there but I don’t know or even think I’d ever be able to know who or what that power is.   There are too many coincidences in life that make me think that someone is pulling the strings, even if I don’t like it.

Example:

Yesterday,  I was given an award at work for my long tireless hours trying to make the company work and feeling it a thankless job.  This award came with a check.  It was $500 before taxes but $326 and change after.    I’m on my way home from accepting said award and I get a phone call.  A friend of mine needs $310 before 6PM or there will be a warrant issued for their arrest.   If I had not just been granted the award I would never have been able to help him.   Naturally I said yes and willingly handed over the $310. 

It’s just too much of a coincidence for all that to fall just so.   I can’t bring myself to believe that there wasn’t someone watching out for at least my friend if not for us both.   Perhaps it was his god taking care of him through me?  *shrugs*   Either way the warrant really wasn’t deserved but he doesn’t have the money to fight it in court so it’s easier to pay the fine.   I’m just glad it worked out.

In other news I have the N95.  It’s fun to play with qik.com.   t-mobile’s internet cries and I burned through the battery like no one’s business playing with all the toys. :p    It’s a nice phone and except for the lack of a keyboard is perfect for me I believe.

I’m sorry about the loud twitter posts.  I wanted them to filter to a specific list and then I was going to give people the option to be in that list or not.   I’ll try to get them to stop.

So I finally work myself up to buying myself a nokia N95.  I go to put in the order and BAM.  “Due to an issue we can not fulfill your order at this time”   so now I’m debating whether it’s fate or what preventing me from my pretty phoneseses. 🙁   I guess that means a few more days of research.  The sale ends on the 17th.
